In Key Stages 1 & 2 St. Anthony's School uses the National Curriculum as a baseline but offers a great deal more.
We aim to meet the needs of all children, regardless of background or ability, in a manner that stimulates, challenges, excites and encourages each individual.

Children from the Reception Class to Year 6 receive swimming lessons at a local pool with qualified teachers and also attend the Forest of Dean Gymnastic Centre where fully qualified coaches provide instruction.
Throughout the School we build on pupils' strengths, interests and experiences and encourage them to learn and work independently and collaboratively. By providing such a programme of learning the pupils are able to apply their knowledge and understanding to make informed judgments and decisions.
Extra-Curricular activities are an important part of life at St Anthony's...
- Speech and Drama each Monday 3.15 - 4.15pm
- Gymnastics Club for all children each Tuesday lunchtime.
- School Orchestra for Years 3 to 6 each Tuesday 3.30 - 4.30pm.
- Football Club for girls and boys in Years 4 to 6 restarts after Half Term.
- Modern Street Dancing for all children each Monday lunchtime.
- Chess Club for children from Year 3 to 6.
- Piano and keyboard, clarinet and saxophone lessons can be arranged.
